Haven 1.7
The last moment of serenity.
I will most probably fall on my face. That’s ok. I don’t focus on that at the moment. Falls happen sometimes. When we try to learn. When we take risks. When we try to expand... Then we try again. And sometimes in the process we have access to moments of grace, moments of float. And that makes the process worth it.
About the Haven collection
As a dance performer, my body is my primary medium of expression. It is also my refuge. Connecting with the world around me & to places within myself is what my journey is about. It’s a tale about nature, patience, magic seeking & presence.
And as an artist, one of my main purposes is to touch, connect with and inspire other human beings.
For many years I made my body a vessel for other creators, mainly choreographers. I was trying to find my voice and my creative output in someone else’s piece, trying to find my way in someone else’s universe. As much as I enjoyed these experiences, I discovered through my years of collaboration with visual artist Eric Paré that I could also want to be the leader of my own artistic expression. Dance photography has been part of our light painting journey since the beginning, in 2014.
